What have we done at Warlands this week?
We are in the middle of August but do not think our team is at a standstill. On the contrary, we are still working very hard to give you good surprises in September. Here are some previews.
Evolution of the game graphics
As you have already seen during the last weeks, we have modified our demo. Now it is a personal demo, which allows you to test the game and, above all, shows you where the graphic art is going.
During this week, we have continued to improve the graphical environments. At the same time, we keep enhancing the concept art, so we are getting closer and closer to our objective. Here you have some images that show you what we say:
It was not easy to decide to change graphics completely, but we felt ready, and your response proved it. We are very happy, and we think we got it right.
Mechanics development
Next week you will have a DevBlog with extensive explanations about how we are also evolving in the game mechanics. For now, we can tell you that our developers are doing an amazing job of improvements in all aspects:
● Character movements.
● Weapon effects and movements
● UI and screen rendering
● Combat feeling
On the other hand, we are still working hard with AI. Remember that the Minions and bosses in each area are a very important part of the game, and that’s why we are dedicating all the effort they deserve.
We have experimented a lot this week with ranged weapons, the result? Spectacular. You can check it out in this video:
Communication and marketing
August is a difficult month for communication. Even so, we have been in some AMA and continue to maintain a strong presence on social networks.
On the other hand, we continue to expand the list of clans and groups of players we are contacting for the beta launch. We also have many surprises that we will be revealing to you in September. We’ve already told you that we’ll have great contests and raffles and that we’ll be looking for the first professional Warlands players through a Casting. Doesn’t it sound good? It really will be spectacular.
In the meantime, as always, we recommend you stay tuned to our social networks and all the news we will be telling you in the coming weeks. September is going to be a great month for Warlands.
